Answers to common questions about the blog and the tools. Last updated: 6 October 2026.

Are my files uploaded when I use the tools?

No. The file, text and calculator tools run inside your browser and do not send images, PDF files or text you type to any server. The store checks work differently: you type only a store link or a product page link, and our server and Google’s browser read public pages; nothing of yours is uploaded. See the privacy policy.

Is there a usage limit?

There is no daily limit. Limits apply only to a single operation, to protect your device:

JPG to PDF: up to 10 images, 10 MB per image and 50 MB in total. Merge PDF: up to 20 files, 50 MB per file and 100 MB in total. Split PDF: one file up to 100 MB, and up to 300 pages when making every page its own file. Image Compressor: up to 20 images and 25 MB per image.

The store checks use the network, so they cap what one visitor can do every 10 minutes: about 60 page fetches, 60 images, 600 link checks and 16 rendered measurements. Each check also has a stated sample cap (the full store check reads the home page, up to 3 categories, 4 products and 3 policy pages, checks up to 60 links and 14 images, and renders up to 3 pages in Google’s browser on a phone and on a desktop). If you reach a cap, the tool says so and you can try again later.

What do the store checkers examine?

You enter one link: a store link or a product page link, and the tool recognises which it is. For a product page it checks that one product. For a store it reads a capped, declared sample of the store’s public pages (home page, categories, products, and contact, shipping and returns pages), asks Google’s Chrome to render some of them as a phone and as a desktop, and checks interface and navigation, technical SEO, speed, links, images, content and structured data. The report always lists the pages checked and the ones that could not be read, with the reason. It does not examine every page of a store, does not verify that specifications are correct, and does not guarantee more sales, visibility or ranking in search results. Every finding states the limits of its check.

What is sent when I run a store check?

Only the link you type. Our server fetches public pages of the store (honouring its robots.txt, identifying itself as ClueTroveChecker/1.0, with no cookies and no login), and the links of a few pages are passed to Google PageSpeed. We do not store the links or the results. If a store blocks automated visitors or Google’s quota is used up, the report says so and keeps what completed, with no estimated result.

What is the improvement priorities report?

A page that gathers the findings of the store checks you ran in this tab, ordered by priority; there is no add button, because each check adds its findings itself. For each finding it shows the page links, the evidence, why it matters, a practical step, who can fix it (you, a specialist, or not enough information) and the limits of the check. It gives no overall score, is not sent anywhere, and stays in the current browser tab until you close it or clear it.

Why was my file not accepted?

The tool shows the reason next to the file name. Common reasons: the file type is not supported, it is larger than the limit, the PDF is password-protected, or the file is damaged or incomplete.

Are the tools free? Do I need an account?

Yes, the tools are free and need no account.

Using the tools, running the checks and reading the first report with short guidance on each finding are free, and the report is available without contacting anyone. A custom improvement plan and hands-on implementation are paid services: they are agreed with you after we review your case and offered through the Telegram contact button at the end of each report, and the scope and price are settled before any work starts. We have not published prices.

How do I contact you?

See the contact page. A message does not commit you to anything.

What do I need to run the tools?

A modern browser with JavaScript enabled. How long a task takes depends on the file sizes and your device.

Where can I learn how to use them?

In the Practical Guides section.
